HELP save the world

this post is SERIOUS business. for real. please read it and please help eco scraps!

eco scraps is a provo company that has been around for less than a year. it was started by byu's own daniel blake. watch this video for a little more info:

long story short: eco scraps takes food waste, namely produce and coffee grounds from local stores and coffee shops and turns it into a 100% organic compost or soil amendment (dirt).

the awesome thing about it is what it does for the environment - over 20% of landfills is made up by food waste. . .the goal is to reduce the world carbon footprint!

1 bag of eco scraps dirt is the equivalent of taking 1 car off the road for one month in green house gas reduction! our cars are not near the problem that throwing out our food is!

i made that short story long again, to the point. . .this is where we need you! click this link to vote for eco scraps in a business competition so the business can win $25,000. this will help the company grow and CHANGE THE WORLD! this can happen but only if we get your vote. we NEED every vote, this is very doable, the leader has about 350 votes, we have 13. . .but there are only 2 days to vote. please please help us win!

we really appreciate you voting, i know most people just read blogs and never comment or do anything, but this would mean a ton to some byu students trying to get this thing off the ground.

IF YOU VOTE PLEASE WRITE IT IN AS A COMMENT SO EVERYONE CAN SEE OTHERS ARE VOTING! REWARDS COULD COME TO THOSE WHO VOTE (if we win...;)

go to our twitter to see the dozens and dozens of articles published in print and on the web about eco scraps. it has been featured on the front page of the paper and even in 'green' blogs as far off as ITALY and the UK!

Colorado Weekend

We were lucky enough to spend a long weekend in Colorado with Scott's parents who always make us feel right at home.
Denver included a little shopping, Scott's favorite restaurant, Mexico City Lounge and watching the Rockies take on the Dodgers at Coors Field, the home team won!
There's nothing better than wings at the one and only Buffalo Wild Wings!
Boulder on Memorial Day was perfect, a beautiful college town filled with so much character, I loved it!

Garden of the Gods was a great way to end the trip.  If you look close you can see the kissing camels in the rocks.
Thank you so much Mike and SuzAnne for the amazing weekend getaway, we loved spending it with you!
